I DO I DO!!! go to Pearl96max's house (Don) and get a real installer to do the job for you. When i had my first maxima, i wanted the 550 ESP but i was 5 speed and couldnt get the remote start so the 600 was a very good substitute for it. He installed it, i had NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER. Its not the alarm, its the installer bro. if you live in the north east, preferably NJ, have him install it for you or have your shop send that alarm back because its defective. Thats the only excuse he can make because this alarm can, will, and has worked on maxima's with no problems.

Congratulations... You just got stuck with a beginner installer...
I hope your airbag doesn't go off in your face....

Take it back to Circuit City and DEMAND that they do it PROPERLY... Tell the installer to use the Software (TECHSOFT) DEI gives them (authorized dealers)... It has the locations of all the wires.

Sometimes you get lucky when you go to these stores, sometimes not.

There is definetly something wrong. Door locks and interior lights should always work without the key in the ignition at all.

The dome light is controlled automatically with the driver's door lock switch even if you have an alarm or not. This is a benefit for us, because Nissan already included this in our cars. Whenever you add an alarm to our Max's, all that is needed is a "double pulse" generator tapped into the driver's side lock switch (green wire with yellow tracer) which will unlock all four doors at the same time (with a small delay). With this process, the dome light should come on. It's almost set up in the way, where, if you put the key in the outside door lock and turn it once, only the driver's door will unlock. Turn it again, within seconds, the rest of the door's will unlock.

It should already be included
It should already be included with the alarm package, if you paid for the power lock option. Most alarm packages will sometimes include all the neccessary hardware needed for the particular lock/unlock system of a specific vehicle. In this case, our Max's need a "double pulse" generator.

It already build in the Viper 600,all you need to do is ask your install to program the alarm for double pulse door unlock.
