Brake noise from high speed...HELP!

The last 2 times that I have had to stop from high speed (80+), my brakes have made a "whump"ing noise...actually it is more like whumpwhumpwhumpwhumpwhumpwhumpwhumpwhumpwhumpwhump whump, but you get the picture. Do I have something wharped or do I need new brake components?

Help! BTW, I can possibly give more deails, but I do not know what might be important at this point.

I assume that that is bad...If I replace those, what else needs to be replaced with them?

you would probably want to get a new set of brake pads as well.
if there isn't that much braking power, your brake fluid might need to be changed cause it may have air or moisture inside of it.

hmm...u have the sumitomo HTR+, it might just be those, cuz whenever i brake from above 80 or 90 mph or so rather hard, it makes a whirling wuhuhuuhhooo sound...it might be yur brakes but it can also be the tires, cuz these tires are prone to that kinda sound new or used

I do not know if it is tires because I have never heard it before- only after a few hard stops I had to make last week.
