AE Accelerator Pedal

Can someone post simple directions on how to install the AE accelerator assembly. I bought the assembly from Courtesy and wanted to make sure I put it on right. The How-To instructions are not completely clear. Thanks.

If you have a 2002 or 2003... this is the installation...

Remove the screw holding the accelerator in and it will detach from the side of the footwell.

Unclip the new AE accelerator pedal from the new pedal bar... you won't be using the new pedal bar. NOTE: Don't forget the little adaptor inside of the opening.

It is recommended that you disconnect the electrical and take the whole pedal bar assembly out but you don't have to... instead, unclip the old pedal off of the bar. Now, simply slide the new pedal (with the adaptor) onto the pedal bar. To clip the new pedal back on, you will need a small piece of black electrical tape... wrap that around once or twice (no more!) where the clip goes... clip the new pedal down.

Then, reattach the bar assembly with the screw... voila! You are done.

If that is the case, it is even easier.

Unscrew the old bar assembly and disconnect the electrical connector.

Put the new bar assembly (and AE pedal) in and connect the electrical connector... then rescrew back on.

Voila!

When your AE pedals are in, don't forget to add the dead pedal... it is a great finishing look!

If you have a place to link your picture from, it is easy to post pics. Most everyone here uses CarDomain. You will just have to upload your pics to them. The process to post images can be found here: Click!

Yeah, well... I registered with CarDomain. Every time I go to my page to try to edit the page, it gives me an error. I've sent countless emails to CarDomain... no answer (big surprise).

Think youwill ever do the AE body kit? In the color of your car would look very good. It would definetly be an original.

BTW, did you check out the Yellow Max in the SE Forum?

Yes, I saw it. I just don't know that I want to spend that kind of money on the body kit. The guy at Nissan tried to get me to buy it at employee price ~ $800 if I remember correctly.

Hey guys, I just did my AE pedals last weekend on my 2k auto. When i bought them i just bought the accelerator pedal itself and not the entire assembly. To put it on i had to wrap the end of the accelerator assembly bar(where there is a little bend at the very botton of the bar) with electrical tape to thicken it up and then to keep the top of the pedal secure, i broke off the little clip from the original pedal and did a little modification to make it fit onto the AE pedal and make it fit. I probably didnt explain this very well but i tried .....Anyways heres a pic of my pedals:
