A little better...

Went to e-town last night with the guys and ran a new best. Only got 2 runs in but ran a 15.26@90.6 with a 2.45 60' and a 15.22@90.9 with a 2.36 60'. My track weight was 3240 with me in the car, and all I have is a frankencar. Had 2 gallons of 100 in the car and just did an oil change right before we went.

First run I slipped at 3k, second run I dumped at 1500. both runs I was running 20 psi on balding general tires on the sawblades.

I've been trying to work on pulling every last tenth out of this setup before I start cheating and getting more power mods. How much better can I expect to launch? Is is realistic to expect a 2.1 - 2.2 60' with stock sized street tires? I'm going to try dumping it lower next time and also slipping it quicker at 3k. any and all suggestions from you launching gurus would be greatly appreciated.

14s (without more mods) or bust.

i've pulled 2.2 60's all night last time I went. Many of the guys with 5 or 6 speeds have too... on stock tires
