STUPID POTHOLES! but i can't find any write-up for replacing the rear so i was wondering is it basically the same as the fronts? are there any isssue i should prepare for. plus whatt all part do i need beside the strut? Thanks

 

It's actually easier than front, and it's same process. Nothing you should be prepared for. just make sure you don't over-torque any bolts :P
i broke some important bolts by over-torqueing :

 

tools:

17mm socket 1/2 drive, with ratchet and breaker bar
12mm deep socket 3/8 drive and ratchet
14mm wrench (ratcheting one works perfect)
adjustable wrench
spring compressor with appropriate socket

 

Yea back ones are alot easier

You actually don't need a spring compressor to do the rears. There's not much preload at all. Let it pop off, then have a buddy hold pressure on the spring to put it back together.

 

true, but safety 1st. I dont want someone unfamiliar to this hurt themselves.

I also skip the compressors for the rear.
