You could replace it but you'll have to cut the QP since the QP and roof are painted as a whole

It'd probably be cheaper and less time consuming to fix it and get it painted.

to replace will be a pita cause there are alot of spot welds that you have to remove before it comes off. body shops only replace it when it cant be repaired. if you just have a dent, a body shop will bang or pull the dent out, then use plastic filler like Bondo, smooth it out, primer it, then paint it, then clearcoat it. plus they have to color match it and then wet sand it so it will look like the rest of the car.

So its impossible to replace theQuaterpanel? Because i think mine has a 97 Quater Panel on the left side and a 95/96 Quater panel on the right..........because myrear will on the left side is kinda poking out, while my right rear wheel is poking In........ any idea what this could be?

I had it pulled filled primed for $300. And that included filling all of the other dings on the whole car to be ready for paint. It can be replaced and the body shop said if it was covered by insurance they would replace it but if it wasn't they would have just pulled it out. My original quote from a very good body shop was just under $3K to have it all done and painted. So I had a guy I knew do the work and had them paint it and it came out to $1300.

the reear quarters are not different on different years of the maxima. they are all the same. you car is just cricked cause of the accident and it was never put on a frame and pulled back to specs.

yes all the rear quarters pnales are the smae on all 4th gen maximas. the only thing nissan changed on the 97-99 maximas was the trunk and the rear bumper and the lights on the back. the outer lights that are in the rear quarter panels the form is the same as 96-96 that is why when people convert the rear from 95-96 maxima to 97-99, the outer lights fit without a problem.

I have no clu e how much a body shop will charge to put the car on a frame and pull it back to specs. all body shops have a different price. do you have a pics of the car in the rear? what i suspect if there are gaps, the car was hit in the back and somebody did a crappy job fixing it.
