Dyno numbers with Cattman Headers!!!!!

That's right I just got my car off the dyno at L&T AUTO's in Jamaica queens. There I did 3 pulls with my car, and the number are-

Run 1- 233whp
Run 2- 235whp after playing with the AFC-2
Run 3- 238whp again with the AFC-2

Guys I KNOW so would believe it but I have the graph in hand ready post if so one would help me??? If someone live in the NYC area and would like to do it pm meee.

BTW torque was not measure, because the guy wanted an extra $50 dollars.

TQ was not measured? WTF. That is BS. Did you get the DynoJet run files sent to you? If so, email them to me and I will host.

I will try to email it to you if I get someone two scan the paper for me. BTW I'am not the type to BS around, and it wasn't done on a dynojet or mustang, some type I never heard of.

Yes, or the other way around.
I'm having a hard time understanding why they want to charge you another $50 for your Torque numbers...

I’ am not really sure, but you know what’s funny, when sr20 posted 272whp everybody said BS, when in fact he proves it with a chart. My question is, why are people so hard to convince????? Why would I post something that is false or isn’t true. Common, I wouldn’t lie about it, I always try to give back to the .org, that’s why reason for posting it in the first place.

If you want call the place and ask them- 718-479-0399

Your numbers are definitely realistic for your mods. I'm actually suprised you didn't get into the 240's with tuning. BTW are the figures SAE corrected? Also what kind of wheels are you using?

Thanks 03BlkSETE, that's what I'am want to hear. The wheels are stock oem 17's with falken 512 tires. I also asked to guy about SAE, he told me that the dyno doesn't measure power the same as a dynojet, but it is more direct and the numbers come corrected.

There are numerous ways to boost numbers on a Dyno. Anyway, 233-238whp is not too bad. I found these numbers for a 02 Maxima 6 spd. 02 Maxima 216.5 HP and 221.3 - Cattman Y-Pipe, PowerTech Exhaust, Berk Intake

So the question one has to ask themselves is it worth the extra moola to get another 10-15 hp from headers vs. Y-pipe, intake, etc. I guess that is a personal choice. Where do you feel the power with the headers? How is the noise vs. your old setup? Good luck I think we would all like headers if possible.

Ghase,

My apologies. I was wrong in my initial post. For some reason I thought you had a VQ35 in which case your numbers would be on target. Honestly I don't think I've seen a non boosted VQ30 with such high numbers but then again I don't follow the VQ30 dyno results that regularly. Something appears to be up. Find out the exact type of dyno you used and let us know.

Those are the best numbers i have seen on A VQ30, that dyno must be wrong, with those mods 238 to the wheel is hard to believe without the run-files.

238 to the wheels with an auto = 309.09 crank

there is simply no way you make that power with the mods you listed. Also, SAE correction is a MUST or else everywhere where its cold will dyno high and vice versa where its hot. My best guess is that the machine is a bosch dyno, which doesnt show a torque graph (it has to be derived, hence the extra 50 bucks). However, they are run on an eddy current, which is totally operator dependent. The load settings are probably set incorrectly, as was the vehicle weight. Go find a dynojet shop here and have the runfiles ready for examination. Otherwise, stop complaining when ppl call BS

There is no difference in noise compared to the factory y-pipe, but with my new Sp-2 muffler, it's kinda loud!!!!!!! And the power take over around 2400rpm. Hope this helps.

omg, ...the only person i see arguing which engine is better is you....and there is no way that a VQ30 with headers and tunning can make those numbers....maybe a VQ35, but not a 3.0....i'll wait till the dynojet numbers come out before i believe it...

Guys let not fight over this. Like I said before if you don't have anything good to say, don't post because it's just going to lock the trend. Please wait until the chart is posted.

Thanks

nobody was starting anything until rob came in and started flaming on the 3.5 and you did as well....IMO that's a bit hypocritical to tell others to not start anything when you were contributing to the primary cause of debate....everyone in here denying your numbers are doing it for a reason...there is simply no way that a 3.0 with your mods can put out those numbers...it's no offense to you, and we're not 'starting anything' ..we're just telling you the truth...when we see the dynojet results is when we'll believe you....in the mean time, stop taking everything anyone says so seriously and try to take people's advice....
