55 or 60?? Please help...
I need to buy tires today and i'm not sure whether I should get the 215/60/16 instead of the 215/55/16. I want to do this because its cheaper...I dont care about the speedo I just need to make sure that it will be good on my 99 max.
Thanks

Use the tire calculator in the sticky...anything under 5% and you should be ok.

If you do more highway cruising than pulling away from lights, that could be a good thing:: you will get more miles per gallon with the larger diameter tire. The equivalent in a 60-series tire to a 215/55-16 is 195/60-16; that will have the same overall diameter and revs per mile as a 215/55-16.
I dont do a lot of highway...does that mean this is a bad thing gas mileage wise?
