Crazy thing Happened To Me Read because I'm in need of Feedback

Ok, I'm experiencing problems with the Whip. This is what went down, I was driving in Rush Hr traffic on the E-Way when my RPMs starts to go crazy at low speeds. It will jump UP and down, and I'm like WTF then it drops below 500-RPM then at that point the car shuts off. Now I'm like Damit its COLD as Shi^ out, not now Please not now. So, I cruise to the shoulder throw the car in Park and Restart the car, everything was Cool till I got home I popped the Hood and found out that my CAI after the MAF was disconnected so I'm like Sh%t how did that happen, so Ok easy fix so. I Fixed it but the next morning(Today) I drove it and everything was Good then ***** "F"ing RPM starts again so drive to my buddie's Crib Popped the Hood ***** "F"ing CAI disconnected again.

So, what I'm getting to is when the MAF is pulling straight air without the AirFilter it giving out a bad reading and the car starts to act up is that why my RPM goes crazy? Or does it have something to do with the Alternator too because I haven't changed the Alternator since it was a recall on it a few years back.

alternator should be fine. It's your intake being disconnected, maybe your maf. Just make sure you put the intake back really good.

You're probably not tightening it up properly/ tight enough. Might want to try again.

complex cars can just get confused, best bet reconnect everything and reset the ecu,

ive somehow managed to confuse my abs in the snow b4 to the point where the light came on for a while to tell me it was confused, and then turned off the next time i drove it. as to say ahh screw it, ull be fine.

if your alternator was going, you'd see a bunch of lights turn on on your dash.

tighten your intake.

^^^That's normal. Dash will light up after car shuts off. If it was your alternator your light would turn on first then the car would die.........

Thats what I ***** "F"ing did. I'd probably didn't tighten the "F"ing CAI tight enough. Thank you Fo' Yo Reponse which was already stated earlier in the thread.

Why couldn't you just come on here and explain your problem, without busting out the ghetto dictionary to do so? Do you feel cool now throwing all your slang out there? Makes you sound like you are ignorant, you cannot even articulate a post to explain your issues in a manner that both make sense, and fully explain what you are looking for. Next time, leave the slang at home, OG. :attention

OMG, I didn't know saying ***** "F"ing was slang I thought it was an expression. Look here I was just stressed out and just upset about the situation I'm in, it has nothing to do with slang if you even know how to speak it but anyway read what I typed before before you start judging me.

Quote: Damn I just notice what I said, my bad I fixed it. I'm at work so I was typing fast and not thinking.

1 curse word does not make up slang.

Now if you are refering on what I said earlier

Quote: Thats what I ***** "F"ing did. I'd probably didn't tighten the "F"ing CAI tight enough. Thank you Fo' Yo Reponse which was already stated earlier in the thread.

This was for Kormax97 for mocking me. Now laylow1988 came at me the right way and made me realize that I wasn't making any sense so I went back and cleaned it up alittle. Has nothing to do with slang.

can everyone just stop bitching? thank you

your car was acting up because it was sucking in air after the MAF. this has nothing to do with your alternator, just make sure you secure all the clamps real tight and you'll be set

go to lowes. but a pipe ring around your cai, then another around your tube after your maf. then connect the two with some zip ties -that should hold it-

and get your free altnerator- they were recalled, i got mine, hope its not to late-

Hey Chris, i remember Steve (slimer) getting some really good hose clamps from Napa Autoparts, more expensive than the one you get at autozone or homedepot, but it will definantly will hold a lot better.
