Rear caliper and rotor capatability 90 to 94.

I'm trying to order the right rotors.
I have a 90 maxima.
I bought 94 rear calipers.

89 to 90 part numbers for rotors are different than 91 to 94.

Will my new calipers not work?

Or am I cool if I buy 94 rotors?

triplegmax is going through the same thing. The 91+ calipers are bigger and the older wont bolt up (I sold him a 90 caliper months ago) I guess the rotors are diffrent too. PM him and see if he hasnt bought the right caliper yet you guys might be able to trade.

Yes, read the stickies, there is a conversion writeup somewhere in there.

the earlier bracket that went to the strut (flat piece of metal) is different than the later one.

if you switch the rotor to match the caliper it may work, but I'm pretty sure the caliper will end up being spaced too far out and would have a better fit from an 86 Z31 (I think that's the deal)
a search on rear Z31 BBK will give you more info

BBK will be much later on. Your right though. I got the newer rotor with the newer caliper and it's too spaced out. I'm just going to ga back to the salvage yard and get the newer strut bracket. Bummer. Good little lesson to learn.

Sorry to open a 4 month old thread...but isn't putting post 90 calipers on an 89-90 hub assembly and bracket the same thing as a BBK? After reading info on them, is seems that the rear BBK kit is essentially the same as putting 89-90 rear caliper brackets on 91-94 calipers, then using Z31 rotors. Correct??

Not sure about the z31 rotors fitting. I didn't pursue it because I think my wheels are too small.

I think it might work.

After replacing everything, they're tight. No maintenance kills them.

I replaced the rear calipers, rotors, pads, and bleed the brakes (all 4 ends) and I still cant tell a difference in rear braking power.

i did the 40 to 5mph, then 2x 60 to 5mph runs, then a 60 to 0 mph with out standing on the brakes to avoid imprinting them.

If thats what you mean...

the stock 92-94 sawblades won't fit over the front BBK though, right? Thats a 13" rotor plus z32 caliper. I can't imagine there to be enough clerance.
