ECU replacement or reprogrammed
ECU replacement or reprogrammed
Does the ECU for 1995 Maxima need to be replaced or reprogrammed? If so, at what point and what are the symptons of ECU failure.
I'm askn because right now I need to tap the ECU while turning the ignition in order for my car to start. I need someone that knows well with the 1995 Maxima ECU and the codes that lives in NYC and Long Island, preferably in Queens. Need some serious help!!!

First step is to check the ECU for codes and fix those....could be loose wiring if there are no codes present, but still youre lacking enough information for anyone to help you out.

On the main 4th gen page you see:
Sticky: MAINTAINANCE and MECHANICAL Information- Don't Post Questions Here! (Multi-page thread 1 2)

That is a sticky and most of use refer to all of them as the stickies, they have tons of useful info. A tsb is a technical service bulletin which is what nissan gives the dealers to fix common problems.
