Hi all,
Just got a 96 Se auto (non-Bose) a couple weeks ago. Right now the speakers are utter crap. So, I went to my local Tweeter and listened to a few Alpines, Eclipses, etc, and found the sound of the Kenwood KFC1777 6.5"s to be my favorite.

The guy there said that the front and back speaker sizes on my Maxima are the same, so I assume getting 2 pairs of the same thing is the way to go?

Also, he said something about how my speakers, being oversize 6.5"s, had some plastic ring or something underneath that would make it simple to slap in aftermarket 6.5"s? Just want to make sure that's accurate.

And has anybody had any experience with these particular Kenwood speakers?

Yes that is accurate...and thanks for going to your local Tweeter store since I work in one too in so cal.
