Did you have the hellas mounted when you pluged them in? Sometimes they use the frame of your car as there ground. So once you plug them in touch them to the metal frame of your car or where you want to mount them and as long as you have a good ground they should work. Our cars look exactly the same by the way.

+1 for the grounding. You may need to run a seperete ground wire. They are very sensitive, in that if it's not a solid, tight ground, they will not make a sound.

well they work..I needed to run a neg- to the battery for some reason i couldnt get anything on the frame to work but the battery solved the trick..and holy crap are they loud..so much louder then anything stock..i recommend anyone that doesnt have these to get them.. took 10-15 mins to install once i figured out what wasnt working..well worth the 50-60 bucks that i paid..the way i look at it.. if 50 bucks worth of noisemakers can stop thousands of dollars in damage from some idiot hitting me then why not..

did it come with a relay? if it didn't, it should have. i highly suggest using a relay. the hellas withdraw much more amperage than the lousy stock horns do. and wiring a relay is a cinch.

IIRC there shouldnt be any need for the relay. i didn't use mine. just power and ground.

that's why i asked if his came with a relay, which it should have. if it's there, then it should be installed. even for some horn kits that don't have a relay included, the instructions say how to wire it with a relay. they're cheap, can be found at any electronics store, and easy to wire. these horn kits, especially the hellas, need more current to operate, so why risk frying the stock wiring? use a relay.

the only thing i dont like about my Hella Supertones is the fact that they have that "NAIL IN A CAN" sound when you chirp the horn or (Lock doors)

it's super easy. the numbers on each of the relay prongs correspond as follows:

30 - wired with an inline fuse to the battery.
85 - frame ground.
86 - stock horn wire.
87 - to hella horns.

make sure to ground the hellas themselves as well. i forgot what amp my fuse is, but 15 amps should be sufficient. i used 12 ga wire all over as well. and lots of electrical tape. hope this helps and good luck with the install.
