Vq30det ????????? I Wonder.

OK I WAS JUST READING UP ON THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR THE
APEXi S-AFC TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO WORK THE THING. ANYWAYS THERE WAS A CERTAIN MOTOR CODE IN THE COMPATIBILIT CHART THAT CAUGHT MY EYE. VQ30DET USUALLY IN NISSAN A (DET) SIGNIFIES A STOCK TURBO.
IT BELONGS TO THE NISSAN 96&UP CEDRIC/GLORIAS I THINK IT WAS. TWO CARS NOT AVAILABLE HERE IN THE US. DECEMBER SUPER STREET HAS A ARTICLE ON THE GLORIA. IF THE THIS MOTOR IS OUT THERE I WONDER HOW COMPATIBLE IT CAN BE IN A 4TH GEN MAXIMA.

i think the cefiro's had the vq25de, but dont quote me on that

You'd have to cut a hole in your firewall and reconfigure the interior of your dash area to make the turbo plumbing fit. Check out the search feature this has been talked about a few times.

RB20DET was in cefiro 3rd gens in Japan.

early cefiro..

the later cefiro's had VQ30DET..

and the new Cefiro's have the ??45DE.. or some**** like that

Not sure, but I think that the VQ30DET is native to a Q45 clone, i.e. RWD. The pistons may be of interest for high-boost applications or even the ludespeed turbo kit that may become available.
Of course, if available for FWD, good for us!
