P0136 Help
Sup Everyone,
This is the third time the CEL comes up as P0136. I've replaced the o2 sensor twice (Recently changed it). Replaced it first with a Bosch and then Walker. It's probably been a month already since I last replaced it. I want to make sure everything is running good before I go back to school. Should I go with a Nissan o2 sensor? Could my stillen y-pipe be affecting the o2 sensor? Any suggestions or comments truly appreciated. Thanks.

did you remove either of the two cats on the car? if so that could cause a O2 sensor code.
i would have the O2 sensors you bought warrantied because that could also be a defect with them but 2 times id say something in the car causing it such as a hollowed cat non existent cat or a clogged cat.

The only thing I did was replaced the old OEM y-pipe with a stillen y-pipe. When I was running the Bosch o2 sensor I still had the OEM y-pipe. Could be a clogged cat...I hear rattling noise coming from somewhere in the front and somewhere in the back seats on cold starts...

easy way to check a clogged cat drive the car for a good amount of time (or let idle for like an hour) before you shut it off get out and look at cats to see if they are red if they are clogged they will glow because they are getting too hot.
as for a rattling that could honestly just be an exhaust shield which you just take off (i took them off on mine doesn't make a difference just removes any rattles in exhaust they just prevent a small amount of heat from reaching car will not affect performance if you remove.
as for o2 sensor problems you could also have a problem with your intake running too rich or too lean check that also that will also trip a o2 code and or maf problems.

Well I do have a CAI running. I'll drive around the highway with OD off to make as much heat as I can. My EGR was leaking and I was running 14% lean, fixed the gasket, now it went down to 11% being the max. The lowest I've run is 8% lean. Thanks for the advice.

you dont really have to run it hard or anything to heat up exhaust just street driving will get it hot enough i too have a cai and trust me they get hot enough in about 30-45 minutes stop and go to see if they are red hot.
Nope, plug-and-play o2 sensor. I took my car to my friend's place to run a diagnosis on the voltage and it turns out to be the o2 sensor by the cat. So all this time I've been replacing the wrong one.
