First time with the max

She was a trooper. 240 xxx miles and was loving it. Ran a 15.3 (99 SE-L 5 speed) made 10+ passes. had no traction But still had fun. Main problem was wheel hop. can anyone tell me how i can help limit it a bit?

you can skip the burnout, it doesn't do anything for you since you're on street tires.

Reduce the tire pressure, and practice using more clutch or less throttle or a combination of both on your launch to keep your car at the limit of traction rather than going over the limit and spinning your tires excessively.

If you do hop, ease off on the gas a bit rather than just powering through the hop.

With all those miles, it is highly likely that most or all of your bushings and motor mounts are in less than perfect shape. Motor mounts and LCA bushings being in good shape will drastically reduce the likelihood of wheelhop.

Pretty sweet. I miss my 96. Auto with no mods ran 15.9, and I know could have been a little better with some better tires.

no need for burnout on street tires?...more like do not do it. the hotter street tires get the more slick they become. avoid water box with all tires. dry spin them when your in the grooves with VHT(if they use it) to get rid of any water and debris

Like mentioned before, preload the transmission. If you don't preload you will break something very soon.

ive had that in a thread somewhere about suspension n 1/4 times.... due to very little front end lift it can help a tad with traction

Basically your hand brake is engaged (you holding it so its not locked in) then while your in first gear start slipping the clutch until the car feels like it wants to move (giving it some gas to do so, keep the gas constant). You will notice the cars front end start to lift.
