Also, the strut bearings are bad on both sides. Car is a 14 with 18k on it. I'm really happy right now 😡

Dang. I think my strut bearings are making racket, but I have twice the miles. They shouldn't be making noise either.

Just an update, I was still having the noises. I spoke to eibach, they updated the front spring design and are warrantying my front springs. They were very easy to deal with, great customer service.

so wth, they agreed to change your both front springs just because of noise, no damages, defects...wow...I thought this noise because of struts or strut bearings(clik-clik-click noise when turning any direction on slow speed)...

It's a loud spring popping noise when you turn the wheels, it's been happening ever since I got the eibachs on. Whe I spoke to eibach, they told me they redesigned the front springs for the maxima because a lot of people are having this problem, and sent me the new ones under warranty.

unbelievable, I have that noise since my eibach was installed(couple months), and mechanic thought it could be because of strut bearings...so I`m about to order new shocks and struts...but now I`m comfused...

Bro it's the springs. Call eibach and tell them, and they will send you the new front ones. They switched the front springs from a progressive to a linear spring so it won't have the binding issues.

ive been having the same issue since i had my springs put on last summer so after i saw this thread, i called eibach the other day and they told me that they wouldnt have the new linear springs available until the sell out of the progressive ones....

1. does this sound right or should i call and try to get someone else to help me?

2. other than the annoying sound, is this damaging my car at all?

thanks

FINALLY! Ive been researching non stop since March of last year. I dont know why mine does this and others dont have this problem? I figured there was just a bad batch or something but never thought about calling them.

So to those of us ready to buy eibachs like today from ebay or such site, what would you all suggest we be looking for? Dont want to buy a bad set and damage the max.

Now, any chance you got the part number for the new Linier eibach spring kit ? Perhaps we can order it ahead of time.

I know people are saying they want the linear springs, but do you even know what you are asking?
I kind of doubt Eibach would even release such a thing. More linear, maybe, but not linear rate. Are people really willing to sacrifice their ride quality for 1" drop?

Never had this issue, maybe it's a new design for the newer Max's?

My springs were/are doing the same thing and I now understand why. After speaking to tech support he confirmed that there would be no safety or damage concerns with the spring noise issue. Unfortunately I was not able to get a new set of springs right away but they should have them in a few months. They took all of my info down, now I have to send them proof of purchase which is fine and once the old stock runs out, they will start sending out the redesigned springs...the noise if more annoying than anything and it's been a few months since the install...I can wait a couple more months!

+1 that I've never had the issue either and my springs were installed in February 2014; worst thing for me was that I did not grease poly bushings enough and had to re-do to stop squeaking and I've been fine ever since.

Has anyone had trouble with the rear springs creaking and moaning? I just got mine on today and the fronts are quiet as hell, my rears are definitely making noise though. Mostly over bumps and uneven terrain and not really while I'm turning

The back noises will go away unless the sway mounts need grease

you sure its the springs and not stabilizer bar bushings?
I had the creaking rear end when I bought the car. There was a TSB
on that, which I brought to the dealer. After that, I had no more noise.
I guess you will have to experiment with bouncing your car while listening
for the source of the noise.

We did also install a racingline RSB with RL rear end links at the time of the install but greased the bar and bushings like crazy. Does anything need to be done to the endlinks?

I'll post pics of the install later just to double check me and victor did them right but like I said we greased the bushings and the noise only comes from up and down motions like it would be the springs so I might give it a few days before I jump to any conclusions unless the endlinks are too tight or need to be greased as well

the noise I was speaking off also came back from the rear end and also only when going up and down, specifically going over speed bumps.
If your end links (stabilizer bar links) have grease zirks, then you definitely need to grease them. If they are sealed, then no greasing is necessary.
I guess one quick way to tell if its stabilizer bar related or spring related is to disconnect the links and bounce the car.

well I had some clink-clink noise at rear suspension, but this was even before my ebachs...so couple days ago I changed shocks and struts with mount kit, rear and front stabilizer bar links, rear bushings...and that noise gone. Just still have on front popping noise when turning any direction on slow speed, so now I`m 100% sure this noise is from springs, but I tired to go back each week to mechanics and trow out money and time...I can live with that for now...

I'll go ahead and tell you I don't know what a zirk is, the end links are from racingline, do those bushing need to be greased as well as the bushings holding the bar? Already greased up the latter

sorry I misspelled it, its grease zerk, here is what it looks like. Racing line site is down, so I can't tell you if they have serviceable joints or not.

I just jacked my car up and got some white lithium to the end link bushings, on a test drive around the neighborhood it seemed to be progressively getting quieter. I guess only time will tell if I will have to remove the end links and grease them up good or not. It's definitely the endlinks, I noticed the noise when the car would rock side to side and after the initial spray it did seem to help
So... Yeah...

I was confused for a second, but then looked up racing line site, which is now up. Yeah, they use completely different style end links with bushings, vs oem style with balljoints. I guess your best bet is talk contact Racing line and ask them what if any lubrication is required for endlinks. In their online instructions they don't mention anything like that.
