CarPlay/Android Auto head unit anyone?

I ended up with the 98 Maxima SE (60k miles and MINT) I had bought for my teenage daughter a year ago. Such a great car for cheap that I sold my ‘17 Jetta and made the Maxima my daily driver. Gotta have CarPlay though. Fortunately the stock double-DIN Bose unit will be an easy swap for a CarPlay deck. Just wondering if anyone else had done this yet and can recommend a good way to run the USB cable and the Bluetooth microphone?

Yeah its simple, my bose double din wasn't working quite right and just replaced it with a single din aftermarket player. They have them at best buy, walmart, audio stores.. etc. Can plug in my phone with a usb and play music off from there.

Yeah, the plan is a double-DIN touchscreen. Just wondering the best place to run a USB cable and the Bluetooth mic.

i wired the bt mic on the right side of the visor in between the mirror and the visor. pushed the wire into the headliner, fits nice.

I mounted my mic next to the dimmer switch. Removed the little cover and used a drill and round file. Extra wire was bundled and secured with zip tie and tucked away behind the mic.

As for the usb wire, I just ran it along the side to allow for easier switching between usb drive and the lightning cable for the iPhone. I’m sure you can find a way to run it up the middle towards the cup holder/center console area.

That's a great solution, thanks!
