95 Maxima stopped running while driving?

Hey everyone so today my 95 Maxima stopped running while driving. So here’s what happened, it started up first try but felt like it barely had enough power to start, then I started driving and these things happened that have never happened before today. The Abs light came on, then the clock went dim, then the radio stopped working, speedometer stop working, then the car started to jerk like it’s stalling and eventually the car stopped running. Then when I try to start it, all I heard was buzzing sound. So I’m pretty sure the alternator, battery or both has gone bad and need replacing. Any other possible causes? Thanks in advance.

I imagine that you have a discharged battery.

Have a lot of weird dash lights been on lately?

Check the charging voltage when you get a good or chargedo battery and start the car. You should have 13 v or more.

No just weird dash lights yesterday on the drive right before the car died. At this point the car won't even start. I should probably try to jump it before going forward.

Sounds like your alternator is toast, and took out your battery on it's way out. Recharge battery, start car and do a load test with and without accessories on. I bet you'll find that your alternator is bad.

This is very likely due to your alternator failing. It's not generating enough voltage to charge the battery. When it's failing, you WILL get a lot of weird electrical stuff happen to your car. Get a new alternator. A new battery won't help.

It's not hard to replace an alternator. Just get a new one at auto part store with replacement guarantee and be done with it.

It happened to me as well.
