I am sorry to hijack this thread but, how important is a purge kit? I just won an ebay auction for a 20923 NX kit for $405. I know I will need a bottle heater, but was wondering if purge is really needed.

It is only important if you race. It can mean the difference of up to .1 in the 1/4. Alternatively you can always give a quick shot when doing a burn out which will purge the system without having a purge kit.

It is mandatory if you want to have fun.

I was wondering if I could use the Zex purge kit because it is cheaper then NX and from which kit would the bottle heater best work?

The NX GenX-2 kit has what you need: http://www.nitrousexpress.com/catego...category_id=37

It's WAY overpriced on the site... but the link is to give you an idea.

If I could find like a new or used Genx2 kit for $200 I would buy it. I am also intrested in buying the dynotune.org gauges. What do you guys think of them?

Here's a better price, but it's still not cheap

It'll be hard to find a used Genx because most people want to sell the kit as a whole. So far I've found it's cheaper to piece together a Genx type kit. I have the dynotune.org bottle heater and their bottle bracket, and I've been pleased with their products.

You can always decide to add a purge kit after you get your kit on as well.
