getting sick of the nitrous anyone else?

I have to say the nitrous is nice but I dont like the fact of how quickly it runs out. I get maybe 10-12 runs on a 10 pound bottle and i have a bottle heater and no leaks either. Holds pressure in the lines with bottle closed for a full day. It cost 45 bucks to fill 10lbs and i run out of it the same day. I feel i should have bought a supercharger because the price of nitrous will add up to more than the s/c kit would in the long run and the s/c is always on. Just my thoughts anyone else feel that their nitrous runs out to quick?

I bet anyone who's spraying has thought about this prob. You are definitely not alone. hahaha

Just take solace in knowing there is less stress on your motor 99% of the time when you are not spraying compared to the SCed guys and that in general, a nitroused Max is quicker than a SCed Max - say an 80-shot compared to a stock pulley SC (which also supposedly adds 80 crank hp). =)

I think it people should really consider their long term goals before going with either SC or nitrous. I'm a college student who wanted more power with the least maintence and no decrease in reliability. I setup and tuned my 70 shot and I'm good to go

Nitrous was the perfect choice for me because I have the power when I want it, but can turn it off for the other 98% of my driving.

N20 vs. SC/TC is a BIG decision.

Personally, I feel the same as xHypex. I'll only "need" it once in awhile, so 7-10-shots will last and I don't have a second car to rely on when little problems rise up with the SC/TC. However, I hear N20 is addicting so that may change my intentions.

I hope to go turbo someday, but if I do, the NX kit will also work AWESOME for an exta kick when needed. 300whp daily driven turbo w/75-100 wet shot for special occasions and track days are my goal.

nitrous is supposed to only be a performance booster on demand not to be used constantly. i suggest you look for another shop that fills the nitrous. nos and nx both have authorized fill stations posted on their websites so check it out. also you may want to consider getting a second bottle or even two larger bottles this way you will have the nitrous you need when the time comes. i had the same problem with my 91 mr2 turbo on nights of......shhhh... street racing. so i bought 2 15 lb bottles and found space for them in a mr2 so i know you can find space in your maxima. so i suggest you look for a new fill up site, pep boys now carrys and installs nitrous systems so there is a 90% chance that they also fill the bottles up. go check it out. it only costs me about $70 with tax here in dallas, but that is to fill up 2 15lb bottles. so its only costing me aobut $2.33 per pound of n2o while you are paying $4.50 a pound. time to shop around.
