NX tread sealant?

NX has this sealant fro the threads of the connectors? is it something special or can I use regular thread lock on the connectors? or do I have to get that same stuff?

Thread sealant and thread lockers are two different products.

Thread lockers just keep bolts, screws etc from coming loose.

Thread sealants are to prevent leakage. Permatex has a variety of each not sure about Locktite.

Get one that will withstand the pressure and product, they will usually list on the container. I would tell you what I use but I don't know the name, it was given to me and there is no label but it was designed for up to 5000 psi and doesn't set for about 4 or 5 hours so you can change your mind.

Just don't use teflon tape.

Best teflon sealant are the paste type. The permatex one didn't work for me. I used teflon paste that came in the jar that you can pick up at homedepot.

Permatex works fine as long as you get the thread sealant not the thread locker. Major difference between the two.
