How guys. I recently got my gauges and getting started on my nitrous install. I have a question on installing the EGT probe. Should I drill and tap the hole on the front manifold or drill and weld a, I forgot what to call the darn thing, on the exhaust pipe (y-pipe)?

Any syggestions and where do you have your probe installed?

 

I have done both and either will work. On my 97 I had it on the manifold, my 95 I put a bung on the Y-pipe just below the manifold flange, my 2k2 is on the headers about 6" from the engine.

Temps will vary with position, but regardless you just use the N/A temp as a baseline.
