Nitrous and raised rev limiter

Do any people do nitrous with a raised rev limiter. If you are, could you post the shot you normally use and the largest shot you have used. Also what is your fuel cut set at.
Thanks Chris

I do have a raised limiter but not for the reason you would think.

Nitrous gives the same amount of added power at all RPM levels. However it feels like it works much better at lower RPM levels because the engine itself is adding much less there so the added power from the nitrous is a much higher ratio.

Using nitrous at rpm levels any higher than the low to mid 6k marks is probably counterproductive, you would be better off shifting.

The reason I use it and the only time is in 3rd gear when I get over the 6k mark and am still not at the end of the 1/4. (This will only happen running small slicks and in the 12 sec range.) The 2k2 auto is extremely sluggish on the 3-4 shift (unlike the 4th Gen) and it takes forever in the higher HP range so I chose to raise the limiter to prevent the shift, now it allows me to run upwards to 118 mph in 3rd gear before I hit 7100 rpm limiter.

I also leave the shifter in 3rd gear all the time and let it shift automatically.

Raising the limiter in hopes of getting better times in a manual would likely produce the same result.

Largest shot I have tried is 200. Don't suggest anyone try that in a 4th gen though or even a 3.5 unless you have safety measures to shut down in the event you run lean. Also keep a few spare green backs in your pocket to replace the engine if you continue to run at that limit.

No just a burst on an old quiet road, it just sort of hit the rev limiter in 3rd gear immediately on street tires, no traction.
