i am curious how many guys have expirienced a nitrous backfire that cause damage to the car. this is the only concern i have with running nitrous. granted i've already bought the system and i am getting a few bugs out of my car before i install it next month, but i'm just curious. to let you know i plan to run a 100 wet shot with a NX system

 

i had it happen when my tune was bad (way rich) but it didnt cause any damage

 

It's happened to me so far twice, and the second time it blew up the engine. The first time was because my solenoid was leaking, the second time because somehow my nitrous jet wasn't installed when I sprayed, so I sprayed pure nitrous into the engine (something around a 300+ shot), and got a huge backfire which burned up my air filter. Both could have been avoided if everything was working properly.
