nitrous questions -- non max :)
nitrous questions -- non max :)
Sorry to bring up the G, but a) I don't have the Max anymore and b) I trust the info here more than anything anybody says on some other site.
I have a 2007 G sedan. The dual intake and dual throttle bodies should make for an "interesting" challenge when dealing with nitrous. I've been talking privately to a couple of people here, but I don't know if anybody knows for sure how to go about this.
My original idea was to go direct port, which should be the "safest" way and bypasses the issue of the dual intakes altogether. But it's also the most complicated and most expensive.
One of the ideas was to treat it like a regular setup, but split the line into both intakes. So take your standard wet setup, and instead of having one nozzle going to one intake, split that and have two nozzles going to two intakes.
I can already see potential problems with this since I don't think anybody is doing it yet, but that's why I'm posting here.
Suggestions? Comments? Other ideas?
TIA

you can just run a single wet system and then split it into two. you have fuel and nitrous connect them each to a tee and from there send fuel and nitrous to each nozzle in each intake. and if you are spraying a 100 shot half should go to each intake side.

hummm, tricky. Direct Injection would be your best bet. anything other wouldnt work right. Splitting the line to each intake wouldnt work right, unless you ran a multiple shot into each intake at the same time, But you would have to have tow solenoids set ups two fuel lines, etc...
I do not know what it cost for a direct port setup but if it cost too much than I would basicly run a nitrous setup to each tb
for example 1 bottle, 1 supply nitrous line then split the nitrous line to 2 noids 1 for each tb, then run 2 fuel noids 1 for each tb. it will be almost like 2 nitrous setups

Too complicated - you need one nitrous and one fuel solenoid, a Y-connector from each one to two fuel lines and two nitrous lines, one each of the lines going to a nozzle at each intake. Jet each nozzle for 1/2 of your intended shot level. When each nozzle is jetted for 35-shot, you will actually spray a 70-shot. Simple, reliable, and consistent. Sounds like fun!
"Those who spray together stay together." Heh.
And yes, I'm serious about the nitrous feeds. It will work.

like you said do it right the 1st time, people alway said I am only going to do a 55 shot then a month later they running 75-100

Sure - but think about this for a moment - if you use two pairs of solenoids, and something fails on one pair, then you will be spraying full-bore on one side and nothing on the other side. That can't be good for your engine.
A single pair of solenoids can supply more "shot" than you'll use on that engine. Heck, you can buy solenoids good for a 400-shot delivery! You'll be safer with a new pair of solenoids controlled by one relay. IMHO.
And yes, do all your trunk nitrous installations with a 6AN "race hose" from NX. It's the last one you will need to buy. The factory "soda straw" hose is about as worthless as the NX fuel tee they ship with kits.
Also use only 4AN-3AN lines to the nozzle. This way, the inside diameter on the line is larger than a 3AN-3AN nozzle line. I have an assortment I bought just to check that out.

Looks like I need a shopping list now...
Aren't there kits specifically for dual-intake cars?
For example:

Take that concept, apply it to what you've got. You could buy similar pieces to make up your own setup if need be, or even buy generic fittings that do the same thing.
