ok so I've done some testing and research and figured it would be good to bump this thread. I purchased a jwt ecu with a 7200 rev limit, advanced timing and corrected fuel maps.

I am planning to spray a 85 shot with the ecu but set my nitrous controller to turn off at 6300rpms and shift at 6500rpms, for safety reason I felt there was no point in spraying after that.

I know you guys said jwt+nitrous=boom but Darryl found this thread http://forums.maxima.org/all-motor/3...questions.html and today with a scan tool confirmed a jwt ecu timing map. It appears that the ecu does not go above 29degree's till it hits 6k. Also the jwt map is very close to the 350z stock map and those guys are able to run a 100-125shot safely all day long

also till I get some slicks I am going to change the activation point from 3000 to 3500rpms due to traction reasons

btw I will be using 104 race fuel

I ran a 75-shot and a JWT NA ecu for a while on my VE. I never had any problems.

I tried spraying a 50 shot with 2 step colder plugs and 110 octane leaded gas with my 93 octane NA tune (advanced timing map and leaner fuel map). I did one 1/4 mile pass with this setup and pulled the plugs to see a good bit of detonation. My AFR on that pass was in the high 10s I believe. So it was very rich and still detonated badly! That was my VE. Every engine will be different though. Just pay close attention to your plugs.

Oh yeah, and my KS was bypassed. Without it bypassed, your timing may be getting retarded immediately. But, you can't have the KS playing with your timing when doing your tuning.

well I am going to start small with a 35shot and work my way back up to either a 75 or 85shot

I'll post the results, maybe a JnS is in my future
