In the interest of full disclosure, this truck will need:
- 2 new front tires (rears are newer)
- P-brake pedal assembly and rear left cable
- Dipstick and tube (heat from header corroded tube)
Optional: I’ve relocated the spare to my basement, it comes with the truck if you want it.
Rust:
- Rust along driver door sill (hasn’t gotten any bigger since I bought the truck 50,000 miles ago) Its not exposed since it’s inside the door so its not getting any worse, probably from previous owner getting in and out and stepping in the same spot repeatedly.
- Dime size rust spot on rear bumper (you can see it in the picture of the rear, but you have to look hard)
- Facing edge of rear bumper on driver side has had paint worn from road debris and salt and is rusting
Paint:
- The paint is very good for its age, its been very well taken care of. It is washed and waxed every 2 weeks when the weather is good. (I am co-founder of AutoFX, a Westchester, NY based auto customization/detail shop.)
- There are some surface scratches, none too bad, and regular waxing keeps them mostly invisible
- The low edge of the Lightning bumper has some rock chips from highway driving (back and forth to Vermont for school, hence the mileage)
