Anyone listening to this tool might as well tow their maxima to the junkyard right now.

Hey all. Been talking on the phone with my best mate and he told me that his car had all the same symptoms and his car died on him(right around the same time as mine) and when he swapped his coils out it fired up. Interestingly enough we bought our coils at the same time. Gonna buy some new coils in the morning and swap them out! Wish me luck!

Buy OEM coils only! You can get them for $38/piece, or about $230 for all six. That's a good investment! Here: http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....431954&jsn=347

you can't test the continuity on the packs! If you get continuity this means they're no good replace.

It's the maf. I thought that in the beginning, but when I heard about the cheap coils I thought that could be it. But if not coils then maf.

Just test them with a multi-meter you either get continuity or you don't.

If you get continuity replace them. If not they won't cause your issue anyway so what you need is testing devices to perform a complete test.

Because if it's internal engine failure worn valves, ect it doesn't give you a code. I saw on CL that the tensioner could go bad on these cars and if that's the case you won't get a specific code.

So is there a coil pack testing procedure? What if you hook the injector pigtail up to a battery and jump it? Get a spark plug type fitting and record the data?
I'm concerned it's not already on the market
You could just replace all for a mere $1200.

Hey all! Thanks guys for helping me all summer. I found a mechanic to come take a look at my car. So come to find out, that the no start was caused by me not bolting back the Crank sensor. -___-
However since I replaced all those other parts, car runs like a champ!

I'm surprised he didn't want to replace the ECM

I'd need more ohms more like a 20M slot to test coil
I get nothing testing from the 2M slot.

Would keeping coils together in a drawer damage them? Should these be kept apart? Do they have a sensitive magnetic field?
