supercharger problem

The MAF wiring is not long enough to reach the maf, it's about 8 inches or so too short to reach the maf now.. the kit came off a 95-96 car, and i'm not sure how to extend the wiring... help!

P.S. It's a v1, 2nd gen sc.

Look at the MAF wiring see all that black stuff that is tape, cut back on the tape and it will make it longer so now you can connect the MAF

You can also splice the wire and extend it. Just make sure you use the same gauge wiring and that the connections are tight.

If you splice use weather tech connectors and be sure its really water tight. Any corosion will scew up the MAF readings and your car will run like crap.

You can also use soldering\heat-shrink wrap to make solid connections. Takes more time, but looks cleaner, and it's easier to slide a protective flexible hose over them.
