I'll start an official thread (with pics, etc.) when I finally get off my hiney but I thought I would add my experience to this thread since we started talking about it (putting a '95-'98 kit on a '99, timing chain cover issues, etc.).
So that I don't have to retype it, here is a qoute of myself from another thread:
"Just so you guys know, my '96 kit transferred 100% perfectly fine over to my '99. Perfect fit, no problems. There are some timing chain differences but nothing to affect the SC mounting plate. But what is odd, is my '96 kit on my '99 sits a lot lower than The Wizards '99 kit on his '99. Where I use 1/2" spacers on my intake tube, he needed 1-1/2" spacers. His elbow touches his passenger headlight harness, mine is well below and his Bosch BOV hits his hood liner, mine clears. We need to put both cars together and examine the differences...."
So now I am confused with the link you provided MaximumHP regarding the kid needing a new timing chain cover??
Maxline, how's your progress?

They are Maximum. But everything worked fine. So, like I said, Jim and I will spend an evening taking measurements, shooting pics, studying everything, etc. and then I will start a detailed thread on any and all differences. There are differences, but everything lined up and bolted on with no gaps or tweaking. It is one week today. No problems (knock on carbon fiber). I will get to the bottom of the leg length difference and explain it, I promise. Right now, I am a pig in mud. It has been too long since I have been boosted and I am extremely grateful my '96 kit went right on with no modification nor compromising.

Ahh, I see. Congrats on getting the kit in!
A good comprehensive thread complining the S/C differences, like this issure, 5th gen vs. 4th gen, V1 Vs V2, etc would be nice to have around.
