WTB: supercharger

Ok I was thinking what better place to see if someone was selling a blower then in the supercharger/turbocharger section. I'm looking to boost my max really really soon. Like I would like to have everything done within the next 3-4 months. I would like to get everything I need starting with the blower. So I will be asking a few questions, I've been reading so I won't sound like a total newb...but at the same time I can't read and understand everything so. Please bare with me for the next couple months.

ebay?? im not boosted but I know matty has said you can find one on there for a good price..make sure it's of quality though. Also he is selling a whole start-up kit for a really good price. I think you can find everything you need for under $2500. Also ewuzh? or something like that on here was selling s/c stuff.

I've bid many time on used ebay S/C and it's seem like mission impossible to win a bid. I called someone at Vortech and they are willing to sell me one directly for a price I cant disclose.

I appreciate all the help.

DOUBLEA: I know about trying to buy a blower on ebay. It is impossible...I've seen alot of I want to say v-9 and curved discharges...and mustang kits. But very seldom I've seen just the blower. In the one we need.

Matty: I did see you thread about the kit. I want to try and buy the blower first...b/c I don't want to buy everything I need then end up not wanting the kit b/c I can't find a blower at a good price or just can't find one. So I'll rather get the blower first. Which is going to be the hardest thing to get, and especially at a good price.

But I'm going to keep looking and hopefully I'll find something. If ya'll find something please let me know.

Thanks I appreciate it. I really want a t trim, but I'm going to guess not that many mustang would be selling a t trim for an upgrade, since everyone likes/wants those But thanks again matty. Do you have any kits left???

Man this is a deal. If I were you I would jump on this and look for the T trim later. If this stays below $750 get it. Just my opinion based on the price I paid for mine. And I was looking for at least a month.

There is currently no kit available for the 3.5L, but I believe there is a thread about a company interested in making one. I dont remember in wich forum it was posted.

Now if I am not mistaken the 350Z, G35 and the 02-03 Maxima all have the same motor, except in the Maxima it is front wheel drive. Now the 350Z and the G35 have superchargers made for them. Is is possible to use their kit with maybe a little modification?

With major modification. The Z kit cuts a whole in the hood and in the maxima the motor sits much nigher.

No
You would have to modify a Z/G SC kit that is a roots type/twin screw to fit under a hood, or go completely custom with a SC. There is no bolt on kit for a FWD VQ35. Turbo is a better option at this point, or just go NA and be faster than you will ever need to be with a VQ35.

WTF? I don't understand how there isn't a single company out there that has developed a supercharger kit for the FWD VQ35DE. It doesn't make any sense. I'm sure if a kit existed it would have sold tons of units. Maybe if we make enough noise we can get a company to develop one. Or does anyone know of a kit already made or in the development stages?

Go to the 5th gen forum and look... there is a multipage thread on a s/c kit for the 3.5... it was not posted that long ago and should be in the first 5 pages... there is where most of your answers will be found at.

I bought a parts car recently and have a V2 blower and could also sell you the boost piping, FMU, BOV, Aux pump if you want it, etc. You would need mattys plate kit, but I have everything else.

There really isnt alot of stuff that has to be found. Everything can be purchased in about 2 months time while your learning about supercharging. Its all a learning experience. You guys have to realize that once you have boost, you need to start understanding things. Its not just plug it in, and it works all the time. I pretty much have my hood open about 10 times a week, making sure everything is perfect. Get a V2 plate and youll see. Forking out $250 in labor every few months for a belt is going to get old real fast. Even if you do the work yourself, $40 and a complete waste of a Sat Afternoon

Too each his own. My mini-rant is over.

I am actually looking for a V2 to replace my V1.... which is finally installed... I want a little less sound. If there are still people around trying to do a t-trim upgrade on a V1, mine is in pretty good shape.

The thing about making the charge pipe is, It just had to get the air to the motor. There really isnt anythign special about it. Unlike the plate and the thermostat housing and the drain back plate, they all need to PERFECT 100% of the time. The charge pipe just needs to take the shape of the motor, in the front, curve around, and get to the TB. With a little pipe, some couplers, and a friend, you can build one easy
