Weird Problem After SC install
After installing the supercharger when i floor it at exactly 3500 RPM's the car seems to Dead miss or something. It's fine below that but as soon as i go over 3500 RPM It struggles to redline. I'm boosting to about 9 psi near redline. I have no codes, I checked the plugs and vacuum lines and there fine.
The only thing i can think of is cause i have stock diaminter cat back piping and to much back pressure. Please help has anyone else had this problem or think what it could be.

Another thing i noticed is at a stop it feels like its missing. When i put a load on(A/C) it it gets worse. Tomorrow I going to change the plugs and test the coils with a ohm meter.
Compression test? QNZmax has the same issue in his thread. I don't know what thats about. Check his thread "Some questions about the SC install". Check and make sure there are no hose clamps blocking the TB.

HHMM are you hearing a crackling noise coming after 3500 rpms like somone is crunching up some newspapers? Your system is nowhere done for you to be safely boosting. YOu need a wideband ASAP, bigger injectors, z32 maf, fuel pump. HMM that what I can thinkof right now. It can be too many things without you having anything we can look at a/f wise. Tell me if you hear that crackling noise.

Can you elaborate what that cracking noise is a symptom of? I am just curious to know; the more I'd learn, the more I'd know. Thanks.
Kevlo,
9psi over stock injectors shouldn't impose any problems at all. I humbly think that it's over 10 psi's is when we'd need to look at injector options. As long as he's still in the range of being able to use FMU's successfully, stock 240cc injectors wouldn't be a problem at all. But if and when boost is more than 10 psi's, and FMU's step size isn't the tune-span anymore, that's when larger injectors should be needed.

He won't get positive pressure till late 2k to early 3k rpms (maybe a little early with a 9psi pulley, but nevertheless, my theory still applies). That's window when the FMU is supposed to "kick-in". But he's able to pull it to redline like he said, so it's just a very bad A/F tune in my point of view. Hence, asking him to install Wideband for A/F.
