Pics of it installed would be great. I believe this is the front manifold, if so is the rear one the same as stock vq30de or different, also which turbos can bolt up to it?

So you're saying you have indeed fitted these onto your friend's Maxima? Have you bolted up a turbo yet and tried running things turbocharged?

If so, you, my friend, may have just disproved a lot of negative theory. I'm in for pictures installed on the car

It will be a TIGHT fit with the radiator fans and any decent size turbo IMO.
I would add a pipe to where the turbo would go and move it so the turbo can sit where the batt is right now.

I agree. Wouldn't too hard to do, either. A couple of flanges and a small amount of piping welded up.

You best believe it's on my mind now, as well. How to get a hold of the manifolds, though?

Also, am I correct in assuming that crossover pipe bolts up the same rear manifold that our NA cars have? If that's the case, installation of this manifold and crossover shouldn't be that difficult, since it's the rear manifold that's difficult to access.

They go out intermittently, probably due to low bandwidth allowances.

As soon as we can locate some manifolds and suitable parts to go with them, I'd say.

I must say, when this guy first IM'd me, I was like "who the f*ck is this idiot??" He's from Kuwait for those wondering so his English isnt the best. Ive wondered int he past if a manifold setup like this could work, but had no idea that the DET mani's were set up this way. If he isn't full of sh*t, this would mean that 2 of the biggest performance improvements for the maxima community would have come from our Middle eastern neighbors.

How common are the manifolds? I doubt they are cheap from nissan.

Id say as common as a DET engine. BUT, what I think would be more of a viable solution would be to find someone to build a set based on the same idea, or if possible, a set up pipes coming off our stock manis in the same way.....

From what I see, you need both manifolds. As it looks like the x-over tube runs over the tranny into the 4th flange section. Someone confirm where your starter is. If it's on top of the tranny, there might be clearance problems? Auto vs manual? You can tell where the turbo will be. One of you guys should take a look and see how much room you have inbetween the front head and radiator fans. You can always get rid of one fan for room.

The best thing you can do is buy an adapter for T25/28 to T3/T4

For those curious what this looks like on a VQ, I stumbled across some pictures (too big for [img] tags, just click on them):
