knocking

I havn't started my car in a couple of months and the battary died so I boosted it tonight and there is a knocking sound on the same side as the supercharger. I let the car warm for ten mins up and it gets quieter but didn't go away. I cant tell if it's the blower or the engine. any ideas what this could be?
My cel is not on

Did you go through boost before the motor was warmed up?

What kind of knock are we talking here? Make sure all the plate/blower bolts are tight, my v1 kit made a rattle when one of the bolts were loose. Can also be the timing chain/tensioner from sitting and not oiled.

Its hard to explain what it sounds like. Its a knocking/ticking sound like every second or two,if that make sense. If it is the timing chain tensioner will it go away or does it need to be replaced?

Miles on the blower ??
Miles on the engine ??
Ever change the timing chain tensioner ??
Is this is a lower end motor knock or a knock you can hear from the top ??

It is most likely your timing chain tensioner that went out and the sound you are hearing is the chain slapping the timing cover. Put your hand on the cover when it makes the noise and its cold, if you feel it, then you know thats the problem.

Is this a 3.0?
Does it idle rough?
Remove the belt to isolate the noise then report back.

It is possible your timing chan tensioner was having some issues. However, when mine quit working the car only made the noise when it had sat over night, after driving it or letting idle for 15 minutes, the noise would be gone for the rest of the day. I hope for your sake it is not the tensioner, It is a total PITA

I hope its not the tensioner to. I dont drive the car in the winter, but it's been pretty nice out and the snow is almost all gone, so I might drive it to work one day.But for now i will just start it every week and see what happens and hope for the best.
Thanks again for your help
