I don't use 100 octane gas I just told jwt that so they would give me the timing I wanted. I use 93 octane and the car runs fine.

As for goals 375-400hp, if I ever drop another motor in this car around 450hp

I have a few large bills, birthdays and house projects coming up so all my money is tied up for the next few months.

I may squeeze a dyno or track day before maxus but I have three cars all with new setups so not sure what I will take

dont believe in p.o.s. holset's, 5 bolt turbos ftl

yo t6378tp, me and you versus all these p.o.s. holset setups (excluding streetz).. Quick spool is nice, but when yall run out of breath up top and we start walking away, dont be upset... Also the sound of a master power turbo spooling is ridicolous...

Just my 2 cents..

What's wrong with holsets? They aren't all small, fast spooling, 5 bolt turbos. How 'bout you run my holset powered car when it's finished.

Well pulled everything back out the car for final welding and changed the angle of the 2nd half of the downpipe alittle. There was nothing wrong just think it looks alittle better.

So here are some pic's on the mockup motor

Well I swapped out the chrome intercooler pipe for a black one where the fog light goes. I felt the chrome one was too flashy and stood out. Here is a before and after pic, you can barely see it now.

Sorry but it may never see the track. I've been thinking about parting the car at the end of the summer to fund a turbo mustang project.

hmmm, im starting to see this alot, people make their maximas fast, then shortly after sells it, or parts it out, is my theory correct that a fast FWD car is nowhere near as fun as a fast RWD

Naw, as you can see from my forsale thread I have been bored with the car for sometime now. I wanted to move on but the car did not sell before the winter so I parked my G35, "G35+rwd+snow=going no where" and drove the maxima and turbo'd it since I always wanted a turbo car.

I car was fun for alittle while, got bored again turned up the boost and now I am bored again and don't trust the 3.5 to turn the boost up anymore so I am done

Maybe after the summer I will change my mind and do a motor build and turn the boost up somemore but then there's the issue with the glass tranny and they are getting harder to find in my area

Plus I can boost a stang for like 3k car included and put out 450-500rwhp and 550tq all day long and can find parts anywhere cheap

Also since I do not need 3 rwd cars living in the NE, I am planning to trade in my g35 for a 4 door titan and turn my s10 into a full out track car and use the stang for a fun car.

FWD does suck and the 3.5 is no forged demon like the VG, but there's something about repairing the ford every week that's not appealing

I took a look at some dynos and max tq turbo (for a 10 psi t44, nothin special I know) is at 3,800 rpms Great numbers but the tq falls off so hard you'd think it was N/A. And HP doesn't climb all that fast either. I guess that's why they're only good for the track with the right gearing. I'm a renowned mustang hater (anything after early 70s), but with no bias, that sounds like an extremely boring turbo car for the hwy. Or maybe I'm crazy (many people will tell you this).

I'm sure w/e set up you'd do would be great, but those things look like piles (and usually are after this many years) haha

How about single turbo an old Z?

a single turbo old 280 or 300z would be nice but it's going to be mustang or just keep the maxima. Not looking to debate setups but as for the dyno curve everyone knows that can be changed by swapping turbos. The dyno you looked at mostly likely were running smaller turbos to spool fast remember these are pushrod motor and make power different. I also know tons of guys personal and not online with stangs drive them daily, run 11's and never break. Also I way more options with a fox body is I get bored, bigblock, sbc, ls1, rb, 2jz, etc and with the maxima not so much

Also this is from someone with no basis, I will drive anything and own a import and muscle car currently and would drop a nissan or chevy motor and a stang without thinking twice.
