v1 supercharger.

Okay guys I Just got finished in stalling my v1 supercharger, now my question is, how in the world do we tighten the tensioner pulley, I cant seem to get down there with the blower in the way. I sorta got it a little tight.. Also the belt is like super close to the top of the tensioner pulley adjuster. Is it suppose to be like that or did I mess something up?

Did you get your kit used? Did it come with the modified tensioner pulley set up? If you do have that then it is not too hard. Make sure the center nut has been loosened on the tensioner pulley (just remember to tighten it back once you are done) then just tighten it up just like normal.

I thought the V1 didn't use a modified tensioner pulley? I loosened the nut on the tensioner puller, but I cant get a socket on the top to tighten up the tensioner the supercharger belt is blocking me...

I have a V2 so I am not sure. I just assumed they both used the modified tensioner.

Hmm.. Doesn't the V1 use the stock tensioner pulley?

I adjust mine with a socket wrench and long extension bar with a swivel joint on the end. You cant get to it dead on straight. You need to come at it on an angle - hence the swivel joint.

Im able to get straight onto it with my V1 plate. The pulley being used plays a role also. In the past though it was always real tight between the plate and the tensioner not allowing enough space for a socket to fully fit onto it.
When I had the blower of earlier this year I grinded down that area a bit, not a socket goes right onto the tensioner.

I'm using Matty's V1 plate. Should be much the same, but it's been so long since I did the belt I can't remember Pretty sure I used a swivel joint though :P

I do the same as most of the guys. long extension and swivel socket. i grinded the top of the tensioner a bit so it wasn't so close to the belt.

there is nothing better than driving a boosted maxima. You see, if you drive something that your grandma would comfortably get into without hassle, it adds to the element of surprise
