where to get vq30det

I've been looking for one for a while and have had no luck, all the ones I've seen are motor only and im looking for harness&ecu aswell(its going in a 240). So where do the few of you guys running them get them?

overnighted from japan. they decimate all. not cheap though, 10 grand, maybe more.

He is being serious, well maybe not the last bit. lol But I've seen a stock internal VQ30 make 500hp so you don't need a vq30dett. Do a little research and you might rethink your plan, it'd be a whole lot cheaper too.

Eeek for that much you can get a used high mile VQ30 for like 200-300 bucks, get rods and pistons, head bolts and u got a 700hp engine

Shhh. If everyone finds out they won't be cheap anymore. Tell him to put a LS1 in there instead, it's a 240 after all.

out of all the possible engines that can be swapped into this platform you choose to go with the needle in a haystack? why dont you drop in an RB, JZ, LS or VQ37 or something?

.. Your stock ECU will run a DE-T. not well but it will run enough to drive the car around town. Also your stock harness and everything down to the TPS sensor is same as the 3.0DE. You will need a Emanage or AEM piggyback to go into good boost.

If it is to mount in a FWD configuration your best bet is to just use a maxima 3.0DE with the DET internal.

at the end of the day, you can get reliable 350+hp from 3.0DE and upto 500hp with good tuning. All that is really special about the DET is lower compression, better intake manifold and additional oil within the engine.

This below is a DEK with DE-T manifold/inejctors/MAF. It ran great. worked off my 96 ECU . started , ran and drove like a stock car. then I used e-manage ultimate to fine tune. But the 370cc inj. and z32 MAF was a great base tune. only leaning out a bit at top. It worked better than a DEK swap in terms of idle etc.

You can even mount the FWD 3.0DE in rear wheel configuration such as 240sx with the 5spd z32 trans or 6spd z33 trans.
