Ding ding describes your state of mind when it comes to good rubber on your car. I bet you a few bucks my craptenzas and I will run circles around your CrontiContacts (or many other tires you throw at mine).

Extrem Contact vs. RE950
These where the two main tires I was considering. There where no comparison tests for the Contis when I was looking. The survey results are nice but in my opinion a comparison test of several different tires on the same car and running the same course is much better. There is now a comparison test of the Contis at tire rack and they did not do as great as their high survey rsults would make you think - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...Contact_c.html
There is also a comparison at the ClubLexus Wheel and tire fourum where the RE950s beat the Contis - http://www.clublexus.com/forums/show...threadid=89870
There are also complaints about quality with other continental tires and the exteam contacts are to new to have proven themselves. The RE950s should maintain there performance as they wear due to their UNITAQ technology. But the contis do appear to have an advantage in ride, noise and snow traction. Either tire is probably a good choice.
The Contis where also back ordered when I was getting my tires, which made my decision easier. They are also back ordered now in sizes for the 16" SE rims at tire rack.

Had RE950's. Amazing all season high performance tire. Don't let the RE92's give you an overall bad impression of Bridgestone. They can make excellent tires. Blame the car companies for demanding a cheap OEM tire.

Ya.... the ContiExtremeContact are very good tires, but the Pirelli PZero Nero are not bad either. I would trust Pirelli more than Continental tires in general just because they have been in the business longer and they are more famous in terms of having been in the tires industry and making very good tires for racing. They both are really good tires and I think I'll get one or the other.

MAXOUTOFCASH:
...Hey I was thinking about the 950's too... but I think Bridgestone Turanza-LS-H would give you a better ride (review on tirerack.com). Heard good things about the 950's ..but more on the performance side vs. ride/quite ride (turanza LS-H)
Anyways for 215/55/16 @ COSTCO:
installed and lifetime balance/rotate - 950's $119.99/tire
installed and lifetime balance/rotate - Turnanza $120.99/tire
plus tax.
PS. I'll let you know about if im gonna buy ur rims from you.
