If so how is the ride with these new shoes (particularly in snow).

I have a 2K SE with stock OEM 17 inch rims! (forgot to add that)

It is a toss up between Extremes and 512's.......Most likely I gonna pick up the Extremes. Please do let me know! I called Hogan Tire here in Boston and they stated the Extremes were on back order. I will probably just pick them up from TireRack also!

i went with 512s after alot of reading. Conti's are only $82 (215/55/16) and in the reviews people say that the are pretty good in snow, and i suppose that = less performance in dry and wet. also several people complain about not beeing able to balance the tires (defects)......also ,many people that do give it a good rating, compare this tire to stock tires that always suck.

How have the 512's been treating you so far with all this snow in Boston. I may also go with the 512's! Not to sure yet. Gotta get this shiat donut off though FAST!!

Did you pick up your 512 locally or from TireRack?

i just ordered them and haven't recieved them yet......from http://www.edgeracing.com/ tirerack doesn't carry falkens

also i heared 512s are #1 at consumer reports.
