question, 45 series tires for 18x8's ??

Hello all, I have the Enkei RPM2 wheels in 18x8 size, I am currently running 40 series tires, the ride is a bit rough for my tastes, can I put a 45 series tire on these? Any suggestions for an all season tire in this size? I need a more comfortable ride but I would like to keep the 18's any suggestions on what to do? Thanks in advance

The tires are highly rated for its grip in dry and wet. However, I've heard that the sidewall is quite soft, so it wouldnt handle as well.

Sounds good, but will they fit? It seems that those aren't recommended for 18x8's

Are you looking for the 245's? A lot more choice there than in the 225 or 235 sizes. Your max looks pretty good and it has pretty much the same setup I am considering. A "soft" sidewall would probably help out with the ride quality as well I would think...

How soon are you putting on the new tires so I can hear your thoughts on the ride difference, handling, etc.?

Good luck with it...

Yeah 235 would be fine too, I am not sure about the 225 since these are 18x8's, I will probably get what ever is rated high and is all weather. Thanks for the info.

the only A/S tire I have seen (so far) in 235/45-18 are Michelin grand-touring tires, but there are half a dozen 245/45-18 A/S tires in various perfromance ratings...
