Falken or Nitto
Need tires bad!!! Can you all help me pick? I am looking at the Falken Ziex ZE-512 or the Nitto NT-450 Extreme Performance. Which would you pick? I drive 50mile round trip to work, so the more quiet one would be better

Probably should have posted this in the Tire and Wheel Forum, but....
I got some 512's about a month ago. I was surprised at how quiet they were, much quieter than the stock Blowtenzas.
I don't have any experience with the Nitto's, but being in Illinois, you'd probably appreciate the all season rating of the Falkens.

Neither.......
Neither.................... Pirelli P Zero Nero M/S best Performance/ Allseason tire I have ever owned . Phenominal reviews on TireRack as well. Not a single complaint on my end. I run them at 35 PSI in the front & 34 in the rear. In approx 2 months time I havent lost a single psi on any of them.

I got 37,800 out of the nitto 450's and still had a lil tread left. that's the positive. on the downside, the wet traction went downhill rather quickly. Much easier to break loose than the HTR+ I have now. Going w/ the falkens next.

Hmm... My friend replaced his 450 w/512. He hates the 512. I hafta agree with him. I've driven his car hard w/the 450s and they're wonderful (not top notch, but really good). The 512 are stanky. 2 good things from the 512: they seem to wear longer (which translates to less grip, usually, and true in this case). Another good thing: easy to bring the *** end out, which's fun, but slower through turns (unless you're drifting).
My vote for Nitto w/o hesitation. But the new Nittos for sport compacts, too early for anybody to put an opinion forth yet.
