Anyone have experience with Cooper Lifeliners?

I'm thinking of getting a set of 4 Cooper Lifeliners 225/50/r17 to replace the OEM death donuts that I currently have on. My Maxima is just a few ticks away from the 35K.

Anyone have the Lifeliners on their car? If they are no good I'll have to mail order the Falkens (which I'm very hesitant to mail order tires or anything). The Coopers would cost me $660 installed at my local tire shop.

Any suggestions? experience?

Go to this thread for some info. Cooper Lifeliner SLE/Mastercraft Avenger LSR are basically the same tire. This might help...

I just replaced my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's (50k on them) with the Cooper Lifeliner SLE's. I like them! Much quieter and smoother than the Michelin's. Just drove home in some heavy rain and they felt very secure at both highway and local speeds. They don't feel as firm as the Michelin's. Just got them last week, so my experience is limited.

Michelin's were just to expensive. Also didn't want to wait the time it would take for Cosco to order them. Also concerned about ability to get a replacement tire quickly should it be required due to road hazzard. I was trying to get the Falken's, but didn't want to do mailorder. Local Sears was taking 4 weeks to get the tires (They screwed up on the original order) and I couldn't wait any longer as my tires were well into the wear markers. Happened to see another Maxima with the Coopers and started to look into them. I found them at a local Cooper dealer for $138 each installed (with balancing, disposal of old tires, and new valve's). The good part was that if I ever slice a tire, I have a place locally that always has the tires in stock for a quick replacement.

i just got my falkins in and just had them installed... i ordered them online at discount tire direct.. no problems whatsoever.. order shipped fri from arizona and were delivered to me on fri in florida... only question though is the tire place put 38 psi in each tire... isnt that a bit too much?? ive seen most here say they are running about 31 or 32 psi all the way around... any reasons why it was set so high??

What size and model are the Falkens? Are they the Ziex512? I was told that the 225/50R17 is on a national backorder and is not available.

These Cooper/Mastercraft tires seem pretty decent. I need some tires soon - my Craptenzas after only 18k miles are looking thin. My car is a lease so I'm not about to dump a huge amount of money into tires.

Where can I get the Coopers? Anywhere online? Or are these usually just found at local shops?

I've purchased tires online before so I have no problem doing it again.

I was also considering the Continental ContiExtreme Contact tires (in 215/50-17 size) - any opinions on those? Tire Rack rates them very well and they're only $92 each.

Thanks........
