3rd gen SE wheels on 5th gen

My friend has an '02 SE and I suggested that he take my extra set of 3rd gen SE wheels that I use for winter on my 98 SE. Those 17 " wheels on his '02 are too nice to run in the winter.......so will the old 3rd gen Maxima wheels fit on his '02 , with the taller profile tires? I woudlnt expect there to be too much of a speedo error... thanks for the input

Just a thought , but will the 3rd gen SE wheels clear the breaks on the 5.5 gen. Are the wheels 15 or 16"?

the wheels are the stock 15" SE, with a taller sidewall than the 17's, of course.....I have a set, and they would be perfect winter wheels. Anybody try them before?

Like I said B4 I am not positive, but I think the breaks are biger on the fifth gens! They would definatly fit on a 4th!

Easy way to find out: Jack up the front of his car and see if they mount on the studs. If they do, give them an experimental spin by hand to make sure they clear everything.

I know 6th Gens have bigger brakes, but I thought 5th Gens had brake warping problems because they didn't increase the brake size much between 3rd and 5th generations? It might work....

I've had 3rd and 5th gen rims on my 4th gen. I'm sure clearance will not be an issue.
