225/50R16 or 215/55R16 on GXE stock wheels???

time has come for me to change the tires on my max... (the previous owner put BFG Comp T/A HR, they dont handle good enough for me but are comfortable for sure) maybe because he bought 225/55R16 ??

what i want to know is it better to stick with the 215/55R16 or 225/50R16 are not too wide and will handle better? I have Eibach's and will install Illumina's this winter...

On my stock 17's they came stock with 225/50-17. I switched to 215/50-17. The 215 is narrower then the 225 but narrower tires are better for winter. You will be fine with the 225's I have 19x8's with a 235 and I can go to a 245.

i doubt my wheels are 16x8... thats why i wonder if 225 is too wide....

Other than winter driving, how did the 215's affect ride, handling and noise?
I've thought about trying 215's since there are a lot more choices than in the 225/50/17
