About to install HP Evo Lightening...question

Ok I have 18x8 HP Evo Lightening and about to get installed on my 98 Maxima.

I'm looking to put on Sumitomo HTR Z II. Anyone have feedback on these tires? For the money seems like decent.

Also I heard to put the center caps on the HP Lightenings you need spacers? Is this true only way to get caps on with spacers or no? If so then what size spacers do I need?
Thanks

I have these same wheels and would like to know also about the center cap issue. it seems that the studs would be too short if spacers are put on.

I wanted to get Sumitomo HTR Z II as well but changed my mind after reading reviews on TireRack.com about noise issues and tire separation. Purchased BF Goodrich g-Force Sport instead.

I heard 1/8 or 1/4 spacers will make it work...but not 100% sure...
anyone else know?

And the reviews for BF goodrich g-force sport seems pretty good...maybe i will consider those instead of the Sumitomo's

for the rear caps to work

get a BFH and bash in the dust caps until they are flat with the outer hub, then the cap will fit with no problems

for the front i superglued to spacers between stick on cap and the plastic cap fitting and it works well

Whoever have these installed on a 4 gen maxima, also put on hub centric rings also??
My tire shop said that i should install this also, to decrease vibration. But i do not recall other people who installed these wheels saying they installed the rings...

You can get some hub-rings from Discount Tire, they're $15 shipped.

$15 shipped for all 4?

And are these needed? What are the benefits exactly?
With this on will the center caps fit or still need like spacers?

I actually cut a little bit of the front axle off...and I took of the hubs on the back off...I've had them on my car like that for a year and I haven't had any problems with them yet. (knock on wood)

I just put them on Friday. Looks GREAT.
But little problem. My tire shop mechanic said that they are the wrong offset for my car. Said was too small. Fronts not much problem getting on but the center caps dont fit.
Rears were very tight to put on. I was told had to push real hard with the gun to make fit. These wheels are not the right offset.
My mechanic said he would not recommend to use spacers. But i'm gonna see if will be ok to get better fitment.
