Finally Dropped the Max (6th Gen w/19" Rays)

Long overdue, but I finally had the springs in installed on my Maxima. I actually only used the front springs (Eibachs). I was concerned that I'd get alot of pogo, but it feels pretty good. I'm impressed. The only real "complaint" I have is that when you come to a dead stop regardless of how mild or abrupt, the car rocks back n forth just a bit.

Another thing I did is change tire size. When I bought the wheels, they came with 225/35/19s up front and 245/40/19s in the rear, which is the correct size for the speedometer/odometer/etc. So, I moved those up front, and bought 255/40/19s for the rear, which is 1.3% off of stock setting (245/45/18). That's better than the 5.5% the 225s were off by, so I'm not worried. And I went with a Toyo T1R. My second consideration was the Falken FK-452. When my fronts finally need replacing, I can have matching tires.

Its funny how much of a difference that small angle makes on the way the car looks. Very nice.

Looks much, much better! Is the ride noticably better with the larger diameter tires?

Yes, it is. You don't feel every single bump in the road.

Looks good, but I'd suggest some spacers. Prob like 5-10mm rear and 10-15mm front?

Why would I need spacers? Offset difference isn't THAT bad is it? Oh...and thanks.

You don't like the flush look?

I knew that was coming. It's pretty flush. Only a wheel-phile could tell the difference...and that's a maybe. But I understand what you're saying. To the untrained eye (about 99% of car owners), it's flush and I'm cool with that.

It looks good but Eibach says for safety issues all 4 springs should be installed. I have them all around.

Indeed it does. This is the 2nd car I've had with only the fronts installed. So far (fingers crossed) I've had no issues. But that's definitely something people considering "fronts only" should be aware of.

Looks good man, the same exact setup that I had. I have since sold my wheels and will be installing the rear springs in the upcoming weeks.
