Goodyear F1 A/S or Yoko AVID W4S?

I'm curious about these. the Yokos in "V" speed rating are apparently VERY good, and it seems like they improve with the higher the rating they have(tire rack reviews show the V and the H4s in order descending based on speed rating) and the W4S aren't particularly expensive. I offer the GYs because I like the tread pattern; looks like it will seriously clear water well, and if the compound is simular to the GS-D3s, these might be a great alternative bang for the buck. anyone have experience with Either?

I'm mainly shooting for a tire i can throw on the stock rims, because my pilots are almost dead, and I don't have enough saved to get my tire/wheel combo. So i was thinking i could stick something that has good characteristics and less pricey, to even maybe allow for some seasonal rotation.

the V rated yoko's have a softer sidewall than hte factory bridge's did...and i was far from impressed with the snow traction....they suck in hte snow strait out...even with hte HLSD.

can't say about hte other 2....what about the Proxes 4's? or the re 960a/s?

I've already started a poll on those. Currently I'm just discussing options that are more cost-effective because what I REALLY want are lightweight 18x8.5 rims with 245/40ZR18 RE960AS'es. I just don't have $2k to drop at this time and my current tires are starting to get questionable.
