A motor AND tranny in great condition can with stand abround a 100 shot of nawz. You just need to evauate the condition of both motor and trany....compresson checks, slipping through gears, ect...Also remember the age of you car and drive trane too.

I would got with wet kit from Zex...I believe they make a kit for our max.

You are asking for trouble. YEs our cars are notorious for high milage reliability, but that is on stock parts, with well maintained, driven "nicely" (no neutral drops please!" At 160K, I would really be hesitant to push the limits as NOS will. With an aoutomatic such as ours, which isn't known to be a bulletproof trans, I would not suggest it dude. Wait until you have the loot to buy another ride (5-spd SE maybe) or an extra trans and engine before you go juicing it. Just my opinion, Iv'e seen more than one person toast a motor on even mild NOS shots. NOS need more fuel or you'll detonate and eat pistons/rings.

hmmmm... I have a 5spd, obviously, and have 195K miles. I use Zex 75hp system. Something is always breaking on my car anyway, so the nitrous doesn't seem to present any sort of problem. I wouldn't put it on an auto, though... MHO

Re: nitrous yes or no????

I recommend the JWT n2o kit. Its expensive but it is the best way to run n2o, without having to make a direct-port kit. Here is the info http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/nitrous.htm. It is tested and proven to make the claimed or more power. For the 100 shot you'd have to get a high flow fuel pump (walbro or Z32TT) and 370cc injectors (Z32TT or Q45). The 50shot is fine with stock injectors/fuel pump.

I agree with Nismo87 I have the JWT kit minus the nitrous bottle and it is made to work with the stock system and only engage at WOT after 2k RPMS. If not theat then I would reccommend the Venom digitally controlled nitrous system if you are a professional or know someone that is and can set it up properly, both run around $1500 for the setup but are worth it is you do track racing!

i've considered getting the module added on to the upgraded ECU. If anything I would wait until my tranny is rebuilt/fortified. I wouldn't worry too much about the motor with only a 50 shot (which is what i'd go with)

on older cars injectors and fuel pumps tend to die as well......compression tests and all that are fine but when your out there juicing and #3 and 5 injectors craps out or the pump dies..... :: IMO popping nitrous in high milage car is not the wisest thing to do.
