I have a 92 GXE making some weird noise when the temperature cool outside, like after a rain or in the winter. It sounds kinda like a clattering type of noise. I think it is coming from the front of the car and usually occurred at start up or over a bump. At nornal cruising, it's not there. Does any one out there has this same problem. If so, what was it? What was done to make it go away?

 

You'd kinda need to describe the noise if you want any help...

 

does it go snap crackle pop? it's probably your cv joint/axle, usually the dust boot tears and it slings grease everywhere and it will get dirt in the joint and cause it to fail.

 

You say it happens after a rain, in the winter or when you go over a bump, so I think you need to check your belts. When the belts get hot they don't slip as easily.
